Testimonials from Our Community of Practice

A diverse group of people sit in a classroom setting, some taking notes and others using laptops, participating in a Professional Learning Community seminar or workshop.

“How do you teach girls how to be empowered, how to have a voice? These are things that the Student Leadership Network has taught. Our school has always been an all girls school, but it was never focused on how to teach girls. It is now a school that is focused on strategies about how girls learn and how we change the way we teach.”

Two women sitting at a table with conference lanyards, one smiling with arms crossed, the other looking attentive; cups and electronic devices on the table—an engaging moment in a Professional Learning Community.

The whole piece around teaching girls differently and the work that we’ve done during the planning meetings have just been amazing for us. There is truly a science behind educating girls, and I think that the Student Leadership Network is very much aware of what this science is, as well as how to put it into practice.”
