7 YISD schools among top El Paso schools on K-8 rankings lists

Capturing the top spot among local middle schools was the Young Women’s Leadership Academy, which ranked first in El Paso and 15 in the state of Texas. YWLA, the city’s first single-gender, college-preparatory public school for girls in grades 6-12, will see its first class of college-bound students graduate next spring.
