Volunteer

Student Leadership Network volunteer programs offer diverse and meaningful opportunities for individuals and companies to engage with our students and contribute to their success. We are always looking for inspiring volunteers to donate their time and help impact our students’ futures.

Ways to Volunteer

A "Cool Careers, Potential Paths" volunteer stands at the front of a classroom leading a discussion; students sit at tables, one with a hand raised, and a screen displays “Cool Careers Potential Paths”.

Cool Careers, Potential Paths

Cool Careers, Potential Paths seeks to connect all The Young Women’s Leadership Schools’ (TYWLS) students to professionals from varied career backgrounds. There are many paths to success, and volunteers are invited to visit our TYWLS schools to speak to students about their unique journeys. Students learn about various career options and what it takes to become a leader in myriad fields.

If you have any questions about Cool Career, Potential Paths please contact Kristin Gordon, Manager of Girls+ Education.

A group of TYWLS at the Workplace volunteers from Intercos, some wearing lab coats and blue gloves, lead a hands-on STEM activity at a table with cosmetic tools.

TYWLS at the Workplace

TYWLS at the Workplace coordinates a day at professional worksites throughout New York City for our 10th-grade students. One hundred twenty-five students across all six schools are selected and visit partner companies in small groups for an opportunity to learn and see what a day in the life of an employee is like.

We collaborate with company representatives to plan a day that is informative and rewarding for employees and students alike.

To sign up for TYWLS at the Workplace and other volunteer opportunities for companies, please contact Matthew Chacko, Director of Institutional and Corporate Giving.
