Teaching That Transforms: Meet the 2025-2026 April Blount Blue Ribbon Award Recipients

Student Leadership Network is thrilled to honor excellence in teaching across The Young Women’s Leadership Schools (TYWLS) with the April Blount Blue Ribbon Awards. The award celebrates the legacy of Ms. April Blount, a phenomenal teacher and leader at TYWLS Brooklyn who brought learning to life for her students. Though the TYWLS community lost Ms. Blount in 2019, her spirit and impact live on through this annual recognition. Each year, one teacher from each TYWLS school is honored for upholding the WholeGirl+ Education model. This year’s recipients were celebrated at a special event for educators earlier this month. Congratulations to all of our April Blount Blue Ribbon Award recipients!
