These are the best public high schools in North Texas

This article features two all-girls schools from our partner network in Texas: Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School and Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Fort Worth

Texas’ three highest ranking public high schools are in Dallas, according to research from U.S. News & World Report.

The School for the Talented and Gifted joined Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School as the only Texas schools in the Top 15 nationally. Dallas’ Science and Engineering Magnet School was ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 3 nationally for best STEM high schools.

The report ranked the public schools based on several factors, including college readiness, graduation rate and proficiency in both math and reading.
