Stop AAPI Hate

In Support of the AAPI Community

The recent killing spree carried out against the Asian community in Atlanta – targeting mostly Asian women – makes it painfully clear that, as a country, we are still not doing enough to confront and end violence and abuse deeply rooted in racism and misogyny. Over the last year, NYC has seen a 1900% spike in hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Student Leadership Network stands in outrage, compassion, and solidarity with the AAPI community.

We are committed to ensuring our community feels safe and supported at this time. SL Network will continue to provide our students and staff with access to spaces, professionals, and resources to talk about – and take action during – this difficult time. The work of dismantling these long-standing systems of oppression falls to all of us, and we invite you to examine these resources to learn more and get involved:

Our dedication to educational equity  – especially in communities marginalized by racism and misogyny – remains unchanged and we continue to uplift SL Network’s values of inclusion for all our students, alumni, staff, and families. Please join us in our work against systemic injustice through sustained action and support.

Always my best,
